About our Spring Show: Rubies

This season, 2019/2020, is Canyon Concert Ballet’s 40th year as Fort Collin’s premiere ballet company and school.  Since it’s our Ruby Anniversary, we are taking the year to commemorate this milestone by bringing local, historic and classical gems to you!

For our 40th Anniversary Celebration, Rubies, CCB is pulling out all the stops!  Partnering with the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra for the first time for the spring ballet, CCB will premier two new works to two orchestral gems.  The program begins with beloved local choreographer, Judy Bejarano’s (founder of IMPACT Dance) contemporary interpretation of Aaron Copeland’s iconic score “Appalachian Spring.” “Precious Stones,” a short excerpt of pristine classical ballet from Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty (1890) will showcase the depth of talent of CCB’s dancers.  And, finally, artistic director, Alicia Laumann’s, new work “Rubies” accompanied by Anton Dvorak’s gorgeous and lush “Serenade for Strings in E Major, Op. 22” will complete the program.

Join us in celebrating our 40th year – get your tickets today! You can also bundle with your Nutcracker tickets and save!
