Rubies: A 40th Anniversary Celebration

January 7, 2020 by Canyon Concert Ballet

Canyon Concert Ballet is excited to partner with the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra to bring this fabulous production to Fort Collins!

This 2019/2020 season is Canyon Concert Ballet’s 40th year as Fort Collins’ premier ballet company and school.  Since it’s our Ruby Anniversary, we are taking the year to commemorate this milestone by bringing local, historic and classical gems to you!

For our 40th Anniversary Celebration, Rubies, CCB is pulling out all the stops! Partnering with the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra for the first time for the spring ballet, CCB will premiere two new works to two orchestral gems. The program begins with beloved local choreographer, Judy Bejarano’s (founder of IMPACT Dance) contemporary interpretation of Aaron Copland’s iconic score “Appalachian Spring.” “Precious Stones,” a short excerpt of pristine classical ballet from Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty (1890) will showcase the depth of talent of CCB’s dancers. And, finally, artistic director, Alicia Laumann’s, will present a new work, accompanied by Anton Dvorak’s gorgeous and lush “Serenade for Strings in E Major, Op. 22” to complete the program.

Join us in celebrating our 40th year – get your tickets today!

This show is possible thanks to the generous support of Fort Fund.
