Randy Wray Endowment

December 18, 2019 by Canyon Concert Ballet

Canyon Concert Ballet is looking to establish our first ever official endowment at the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado in honor of our 40th Anniversary Season!

We are using the remaining funds from the original Randy Wray Choreographic Fund to help start this permanent endowment at the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado. However, a minimum of $10,000 is needed to establish the endowment at the Community Foundation. A generous donor is matching all donations up to $5000 to this endowment in Randy Wray’s memory. Help us raise the funds needed to set up a permanent endowment for Canyon Concert Ballet, named after the amazing and loved Randy Wray.

Donate today to support the memory of Randy Wray and to help Canyon Concert Ballet secure the funding for a permanent endowment, ensuring our success for the next 40 years and beyond!

The original Randy Wray Choreographic Fund was created as a memorial fund for Randy Wray, the Artistic Director of Canyon Concert Ballet from 1990-1996. Randy grew the performance company of CCB from a small group of local enthusiasts to a semi-professional company performing four full-evening length shows per year. Under Randy’s leadership CCB produced the classics of The Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, and The Nutcracker, in addition to many of his own choreographed works. Randy’s productions were emotionally evocative and never failed to make the audience both laugh and cry. Randy died of AIDS related illness in July, 1996.

With this endowment, Randy’s legacy promoting the joy of dance will live through many future generations.
