Analia Alegre-Femenias Weber is a dancer, teacher, improvisational artist and choreographer who hails from San Juan, Puerto Rico. She obtained her BFA in dance from New World School of the Arts and her MFA in choreography from the University of Iowa. She began her professional dance career at the age of 16 in Puerto Rico with Drama Danza Company.
Throughout her career Analía has performed for Robert Battle, Bill Young, Donald McKayle, David Dorfman, Jennifer Kayle, Charlotte Adams, Freddrick Bratcher & Dancers and currently dances for Fort Collins’ own Impact Dance Company. As an educator Analia believes that dance is a tool to empower the artists and community leaders of tomorrow. Through her 15 years of teaching her students have moved to prestigious dance programs and colleges like The Juilliard School, Point Park University, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Houston Ballet, Graham 2, Northwest Dance Project among others. Her choreographic work has been presented in renowned spaces like 100 Grand and Judson Church in New York City as well as in Chicago, Colorado, Miami, Minneapolis, Tennessee, New Hampshire, Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. She has choreographed award winning pieces for competitions like BRAVO!, Spotlight, and Applause.
Outside of dance Analía is a renowned Pilates instructor and was 2016 Pilates Anytime Top Ten Instructors both nationally and internationally.
Analia is honored and excited to be Canyon Concert Ballet’s new school director and is looking forward to meeting all the CCB families!
