Four Choreographers, Six Provocative Works and Three World Premieres in One Repertory Experience – March 24th & 25th

February 23, 2017 by Canyon Concert Ballet

Repertory dance engages the audience in a way no continuous narrative performance art does. A series of short, emotionally intense pieces performed across many different dance styles provides moments that will resonate with everyone in the audience.

For the second year in a row, on March 24th and 25th at 7 pm,  For the Love of Dance showcases repertory dance ranging from new and experimental modern and contemporary work to historical classical ballet in the intimate Magnolia Theater. Commissioned by Canyon Concert Ballet (CCB), the evening includes three world premieres:   James Wallace’s electrifying and edgy contemporary ballet, Resurgence; Alicia Laumann’s Here Comes the Sun and Nick Blaylock’s riveting, The Idea is Disruption.  The evening will be rounded out with excerpts from the beloved Russian classic, Le Corsaire, Judy Bejarano’s, Awaken, and Laumann’s Jane Eyre.  Join the choreographers and dancers following Saturday evening for a Champagne reception and meet and greet with a VIP ticket.  Go to LCtix.com or call the Lincoln Center Box Office at 970-221-6730 for tickets.
